§ 1510. Lapse of site plan approval
A site plan approval shall lapse and shall become void one year following the date on which approval by the planning commission or city council became effective unless, prior to the expiration of one year, a building permit is issued by the building official and construction is commenced and diligently pursued toward completion of the site or structures which were the subject of the site plan. Approval of an extension for multi-family developments may be considered and approved only if evidence is provided satisfactory to the city setting forth circumstances beyond the control of the applicant that warrants approval of the extension. Approval of extensions for non-residential developments may be extended once only for an additional period of one year upon written application to the planning commission before expiration of the first approval.
