§ 3.24.070. Revenue measure

The taxes prescribed by this chapter constitute taxes for revenue purposes only, and are not regulatory permit fees. Such taxes shall be in addition to any regulatory permit fee imposed by the Code adopted by the city. Nothing in this chapter shall be construed as giving city officers any regulatory power over persons engaged in business.
