§ 3.24.360. Cardrooms

Each application for any new license, or for any transfer of license (if permitted by subsequent ordinance), shall be accompanied by an application tax of $2,000.00. A tax in the same amount shall accompany each application for a cardroom license change that is subject to the prior approval of the city council under the provisions of this section.

Council may reduce each of said rates of tax to a lesser rate of tax at any time by the adoption of a resolution or ordinance doing so. If any of said rates of tax have been reduced by the city council to a rate less than the maximum rate for that tax, then the council may increase said rate of tax to a rate that does not exceed the maximum rate for that tax provided in this section by the adoption of resolution or ordinance doing so.
