§ 5.24.110. Penalty for violation

  • A.

    It shall be unlawful for any person to abandon, park, store, or leaving of any licensed or unlicensed vehicle (or parts thereof) which is in an abandoned wrecked, dismantled or inoperative condition upon any private or public property, not including highways, within the city for a period in excess of ten days, in violation of this chapter.

    B.

    It shall also be unlawful fur any person to fail or refuse to remove and abandoned, wrecked, dismantled or inoperative vehicle (or parts thereof) or refuse to abate such nuisance when ordered to do so in accordance with the abatement provisions of this chapter or to prevent or interfere with those persons authorized to abate such nuisance under this chapter.

    C.

    Any person violating this section of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding $500.00 or by imprisonment not to exceed six months, or both such fine and imprisonment.
