§ 5.32.020. Petroleum delivery

  • It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to make any delivery in the city from any tank wagon, truck or other means of any petroleum, distillate, products of petroleum, or hydro-carbon liquids, not of standard flash test in greater quantities than five gallons, other than stove oil, kerosene and diesel fuel, unless the container into which such delivery is made is buried in the ground and covered to a depth of at least two feet; provided, however, that this restriction shall not apply to any gasoline service station using visible gas pumps with visible container holding not more than 11 gallons of gasoline; and provided, further, that any person or firm or corporation may maintain upon its own or leased property storage tanks above ground of a kind and capacity and the location of which shall be approved by the fire chief.
