§ 5.36.010. Prohibition of standing water

  • It shall be unlawful for any person owning or in charge of, or control of, any real property within the city, to permit water to stand upon said property in puddles or sinks longer than 48 hours without first obtaining from the health officer of said city permission to permit water to stand for a longer period of time.

    The health officer shall not grant permission for water to stand upon any real property within said city for a period longer than 20 days.

    Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $25.00 or by imprisonment not to exceed 20 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
